Oh Me, Oh My
Brock Zeman

I'm walking down town just to clear my head
And the rain comes a-pouring down
It was falling so hard it could make Noah shiver
I thought all of main street was gonna drown
I saw Houdini shuffle by and I said:
I hope you can swim, and he never even stopped
But over his shoulder he said: If you're fast enough Kid
You just dance in and out of the drops

And I say: oh me, oh my
Don't you weep and don't you cry
‘Cause if the sun is shining in your mind
Tears won't be able to find your eyes
No, they won't be able to find your eyes

A little while later I saw Billy the Kid
Out walking with Oscar Wilde
They were drinking red wine and Oscar he said:
Billy Boy you ain't got no style
Billy turned red, and flung his jacket wide open
And placed his fingers on the heel of his gun
Oscar said: Billy Boy you'd better be quick with that thing
I slay dragons with a twist of my tongue

This song is nearly over and you're looking at me
You've got confusion all over your face
Well, I'll let you in on a secret: It really don't mean a thing
It's just words rolling around in my brain
But when it's all over and the music stops
And the last line has been sung
What bothers me most is that I can't recall
Just who I stole it from
